ABOUT

Ana María Pagés was born in Miami, Florida to parents from Spain and Colombia. She is an accomplished artist having exhibited nationally and internationally. She had received numerous awards for her artwork, and many pieces are held in public a private collections. Ana María studied painting in France, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Florida International University, where she also taught for several years.

Besides her Bachelor degree, Ana María holds Masters degrees in Landscape Architecture and Architecture. The combination of these disciplines has broadened her perception of the landscape and wed the aesthetic of the artist with that of the designer.

Ana María’s appreciation for nature developed while living in Florida, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. The main objectives of her art is to record and preserve the natural beauty of her subject, while inspiring, in her viewers, an awareness of this beauty and a sense of urgency for preserving what remains of our native environment.
